Terms of Service

Effective 11 October 2026. These updated Terms take effect on 11 October 2026; until then, the previous version continues to apply (a copy is available on request at contact@loadia.app). What changes: the Terms now cover PlayStation and Xbox connections (Section 3), photos on profile cards and public profile pages on the web (Section 5), Loadia Plus gifts (Section 7) and the critic program (Section 8), and reword the right of withdrawal, including for web purchases (Section 9).
1. Publisher
Loadia (the "App") is published by Init Consulting, head office 11 passage Marivaux, 77185 Lognes, France, SIRET 913 339 362 00018, registered with the RCS of Meaux (SIREN 913 339 362), VAT FR25913339362, represented by Chedli Ben Hassine ("we", "us"). Contact: contact@loadia.app.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
3. The service
Loadia lets you log, rate, review, and organise the video games you play, and (where available) share activity and follow other members. The core experience is free. Some features, such as the profile card, the critic program and Plus gifts, are offered only where available. Optional connections to Steam, PlayStation and Xbox rely on those platforms, which apply their own terms. Loadia is provided "as is"; we may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload: reviews, ratings, lists, comments, your profile text and your images (avatar, banner and profile-card photo). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resize or re-encode) and display that content, solely to operate the App and for as long as it stays on Loadia. This includes showing it to other members and, while public sharing is on, on public pages of loadia.app, in search results and in link-preview images, as described in the Privacy Policy. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that third parties such as search engines have already made and for records we must keep by law.
You are responsible for your content and must not post anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable. In particular, do not upload pictures of other people without their consent, images you do not have the right to use, or images that reveal someone's personal information. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
You can report a profile, a review, a comment or a list from the App. A profile-card photo cannot be reported on its own: report the profile that shows it, or write to contact@loadia.app with that member's @handle. We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing reported content or suspending an account.
Game titles, cover art, company names, trademarks, logos, and third-party metadata belong to their respective rights holders. They are used only for identification, information, and cataloguing. Loadia is an independent service; this use does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or partnership with the companies presented.
6. Loadia Plus subscription
- Loadia Plus is an auto-renewable subscription offered at €24.99/year or €3.99/month. Your checkout or app store shows the applicable price, currency, taxes and renewal period before you confirm. These euro prices include applicable VAT.
- On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID. You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (App Store > Subscriptions); we cannot cancel it for you. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.
- On Android, payment is charged to your Google account. You manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play > Subscriptions; we cannot cancel it for you. Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy.
- For web purchases labelled Sold through Link, Stripe is the merchant of record (Stripe Managed Payments). Loadia provides the Plus service. The Sold through Link terms also apply to your purchase.
- Manage or cancel a web subscription in Link → Recurring, using the email associated with your purchase. Check the cancellation confirmation for when access ends. For billing or refund requests, use Link support; for Plus access problems, contact contact@loadia.app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled under the purchasing provider's terms. For an App Store subscription, turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; otherwise, cancel before the renewal date shown by your provider to avoid another renewal. Deleting your Loadia account does not cancel your subscription.
- Use of the App is also subject to Apple's standard EULA: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula
7. Loadia Plus gifts
- Where gifts are offered, you can buy in the App one month or one year of Loadia Plus for a mutual friend (you follow each other) who has a Loadia account with public sharing on and has not blocked you, nor you them.
- A gift is a one-time purchase through your app store (Apple on iOS, Google Play on Android). It is not a subscription and does not renew. The store shows the price before you confirm, and the store's terms apply to the payment.
- The recipient chooses when to activate the gift. Loadia Plus then lasts one month or one year from activation. A gift cannot be activated while the recipient already has active Plus; it does not extend or combine with a subscription or another gift, and it stays available to activate later. A gift that has not been activated does not expire.
- A gift cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another person.
- Refunds follow the refund process of the store you paid through. If the purchase is refunded, the gift is cancelled and any Plus access it gave ends.
- If the buyer deletes their account, a gift already sent remains valid for the recipient. If the recipient deletes their account, the gift can no longer be activated and any Plus access it gave ends; the account deletion does not by itself trigger a refund.
8. Critic program
- Where offered, you can apply for a critic badge from the App (and from the website where offered). You need a Loadia account and must provide accurate information: your name, country, email address, at least one social profile (X, Instagram or YouTube), 5 to 10 links to reviews you have written or recorded, and a sample rating.
- Loadia reviews each application and may accept or refuse it. After a refusal, you can apply again later. The program is free.
- An accepted critic's badge is shown on their profile in place of the Plus badge. Critics can publish early reviews of games that have a confirmed release date, from 14 days before release (or 7 days, if Loadia sets that shorter window for the account) until the release date. Early reviews are shown to signed-in members on the game's page and remain visible after the release.
- Early reviews are subject to Section 5. Loadia may revoke a critic badge at any time, in particular after a breach of these Terms. Revocation ends early-review access and hides the early reviews; ordinary reviews are not affected.
9. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
EU consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for an online purchase, subject to applicable legal exceptions. These Terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights.
For an App Store or Google Play purchase (subscription or gift), withdrawal and refund requests follow Apple's or Google's refund process. For a web purchase, you can withdraw within 14 days of the purchase; this right ends earlier only if, at checkout, you expressly asked for immediate access to Loadia Plus and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once access begins. In addition, for a purchase sold through Link, Link's terms provide a 14-day cooling-off period from receiving access: contact Link support to request a refund and identify the cooling-off period as the reason. Contact contact@loadia.app if you need help identifying your provider. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse or attempt to breach the App's security; reverse engineer it except as permitted by law; scrape or overload it; impersonate others; or use it for any unlawful purpose.
11. Intellectual property
The App, its design, code, and trademarks ("Loadia") are owned by Init Consulting and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in them beyond using the App.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided without warranty to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French law (including for death, personal injury, or fraud). Subject to that, our liability for the free service is limited to the extent permitted by law; for the paid subscription, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. For consumers, mandatory protections of your country of residence still apply. In case of a dispute, please first contact us at contact@loadia.app. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer it free of charge to a consumer mediator under Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, before going to court. The competent courts are those designated by applicable law.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App before taking effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
